What is your opinion of placing in a loved one in a hospice?

Answer Mokwala said, "A hospice is a good thing. The nurses there give professional care and they provide a clean and healthy environment. People are ashamed of their sick relatives and they hide them instead of getting professional intervention. Some keep their sick so that they can get social grants on their behalf. We need to take our critically ill people to the hospice so the hospice's good work can be acknowledged and therefore the hospice can get proper funding for it to grow."

Vani Sekati said, “I will look after my own loved ones. If I don’t have enough time I can get a professional doctor or nurse to come and visit them at home. They have the expertise and they will provide proper medication.”

The hospice won’t let patients indulge in substance abuse or refuse to take medication. Hospices play a big role in the health industry and we need them.”
Msebenzi Mashinini said, “I won’t say a hospice is a bad thing. If I love a person I won’t have all the time in the world to care for them when they are sick. At the hospice they can give them attention and the necessary medication.”

Lebo Sephuma said, “I would take a loved one to a hospice because they will need special care due to their critical condition. There they will get regular treatment which I can’t always be able to give. I could be having other commitments like a job and there they will get full-time attention.”
