Gardner scoops three KPC trophies

Kempton Park Football Club held its annual senior awards dinner recently.

KEMPTON Park Football Club held its annual senior awards dinner recently.

Bruce King, chairman of the ELFA, was on hand to crown the senior second side as league winners for the 2013 season and handed out the winners medals and trophy.

Guest of honour, Glen Salmon, imparted some wise words onto the up and coming youngsters. Coaches Jason Crole and Trevor Botha surprised the players with some special and funny awards on the evening.

Ten and 20 year service certificates were handed to recipients as were recognition certificates for attaining provincial colours.

The top awards went to:

Blaine van der Riet (first team player of the year), Jarred Ramsay (second team player of the year), Warren Ramsay ( players’ player first team), Brendon Wills ( players’ player second team), Brad Nowicki (most exciting young player – Kingsley Trophy), Warren Gardner (first team Golden Boot, chairman’s award, Van Rensburg Trophy for enthusiasm), Tyrone Young (second team Golden Boot) and Graham Wright (clubman of the year).
