THE results of Kempton Park Junior Cricket Club’s games played at the weekend, were:
U/8B2 played Tembisa at home. Tembisa batted first and made 60/6 in 20 overs. Kempton was bowled out for 50.
Batting well were Janrik van Wyk (6), Armand Rood (7) and Kyle Stevens. Bowlers taking wickets were Joshua James (2/9) and Dino Binks (1/3).
Man of the match went to Joshua James.
U/10 super league beat Boksburg by 67 runs. Kempton scored 115/4. Claudio Jardim made 25 and Devon Joyce 15*. Boksburg were dismissed for 48.
Jared Standler (2/7) and Kian van Heerden (2/9) were the best bowlers. Man of the match went to Adam Rosslee (21* and 1/7).
U/10A beat Avion by 188 runs after posting 232 in 25 overs. Both Reynier Overweg and Sarel Erasmus scored fifties and were retired.
It was Sarel’s second fifty in three innings. Avion ended on 44/9 as Kempton bowled and fielded very well. Only two fours were scored in Avion’s 25 overs.
U/12 super league lost to Boksburg during their night match at home. Batting second Kempton fell short by 29 runs.
Troy Kyle scored 23 and Luke Gunter took 1/12.
