Deloitte Marathon takes place on Febr 23

THE Deloitte Pretoria Marathon will take place on Sunday, February 23.
With a testing 42,2, 21,2 or 10km run or 10km fun run/walk options available, all winding through the scenic streets of Brooklyn, Lynnwood, Waterkloof and Groenkloof in Pretoria, the marathon is an opportunity for all athletes, whether professional or amateur, to take to the tar.
In order to participate, runners will need to submit their pre-entries by February 9.
Entries are available at www.entrytime.co.za or can be made at The Sweatshop and Running Inn in Pretoria and Johannesburg or Run-A-Way Sport in Pretoria.
Entries can also be made at the Race Expo from February 20-22 at Pretoria High Old Boys Club in Lynwood where race numbers and t-shirts for those registered can also be collected.
A contribution of every entry received will be donated to the Adopt-a-School Foundation. The closing date for entries in the 10km race is February 22.
Prize money and gold medals will be awarded to all top performers in each of the race categories. The first male and female runner to complete the 42,2km race will receive R5 000.
The prize money for the 21,1km race is R3 000 and then R2 000 for completion of the 10km race. Participants finishing the race within the cut-off time will also receive medals.
