THE results of Avion Park Bowling Club’s club competitions played last week were:

Men’s singles championships: Cobus Galloway bt Grant George, Joe Cruz bt Norman George, Lyne Shannon bt Pine Pienaar.

Men’s handicap singles: Lyne Shannon bt Willie Roodt, André du Preez bt Kobus du Toit, Freddy Mpebe bt Norman George, Bob McKay bt Jo-Jo van Dyk.

Men’s senior singles: Felix Steyn bt Dick van der Westhuizen.

Club competitions to be played this weekend:

Saturday at 2pm:

Women’s singles championships: Meisie Rheeder vs Chloe Pienaar (marker A van Niekerk), Barbara Roux vs Cynthia Emmerich (marker C Gill).

Women’s senior singles: Marie Horne vs Shelagh Ryan (marker V Conradie).

Men’s senior singles: Bob McKay vs Dudley Ryan (marker S Sandham).

Men’s singles championships: Phil Nell vs Colin Marais (marker D van der Westhuizen).

Men’s handicap singles: Ginger Jacobs vs Tommy Visser (marker I Johnston), Dave Heath vs Con Morgan (marker D Boettger) and Dave Miles vs Maarten Pieterse (marker R McLeod).

Men’s novice singles: Kobus du Toit vs Johannes Botes (marker A Troskie).

Sunday at 9.30am:

Women’s handicap singles: Meisie Rheeder vs Carole Gill (marker S Ryan), Fiena Rogers vs Gail Marais (loser Roux/Emmerich marks).

Women’s selected pairs: Maria McLeod/Vida Nel vs Chloe Pienaar/Khani Jacobs.

Men’s handicap singles: Felix Steyn vs Danny Potgieter (marker P Nell), Bob McKay vs Boeta van Wyk (marker J van Dyk) and Shannon McLeod vs Dudley Ryan (marker D Miles).
