National and international boxers were in action at the African Explosion tournament

THE African Explosion boxing tournament at Emperors Palace on Saturday night saw some explosive action.

The bout list consisted of local and international boxers such as South African’s Ryno Liebenberg, Hekkie Budler and Uganda’s Joey Vegas.

The results were:

Featherweight – 4 rounds: Phumudzo Monyai (RSA) vs Ricardo Hiraman (RSA). The bout was won by Hiraman through a TKO in the third round.

Junior Flyweight – 6 rounds: Sibusiso Twani (RSA) vs Thabang Ramagole (RSA). The bout was won by Twani on points.

Junior Welterweight – 6 rounds: Jeff Otembio (RSA) vs Adam De Moor (RSA). The bout was won by De Moor on points.

WBC Super International Light Heavyweight Title – 12 rounds: Wilbeforce Shihepo (Namibia) vs Johnny Muller (RSA). The bout was won by Muller on points.

WBA/IBO Strawweight World Title – 12 rounds: Karluis Diaz (Columbia) vs Hekkie Budler (RSA). The bout was won in the first round by Budler with a knockout after two minutes 29 seconds.

WBC Gold International Light Heavyweight Title – 12 rounds: Joey Vegas (Uganda) vs Ryno Liebenberg (RSA). The bout was won by Liebenberg with a TKO in the first round.
