KEMPTON Park Junior Cricket Club’s results for the weekend were:
U/8A travelled to Springs to play Kwa Thema. Kempton batted fist and scored 110/7.
Joshua Shanker topped the scoring with 19*, assisted by Jarrod Kyle on 12*.
Kwa Thema got off to a blistering start ,taking the score to 82/1 after 13 overs. Kempton started taking wickets and had them pinned at 104/8.
Kwa Thema scored the winning runs in the 18th over. Stars with the ball for Kempton were Ian van Rhyn (2/6), Jarrod Kyle (2/13) and Aiden Patterson (1/14).
U/10 super league beat Boksburg by 36 runs. Kempton batted first and scored 117/3 with Dylan Nicholas (30*), Adam Rosslee (24) and Devon Joyce (22) top scoring.
Boksburg were restricted to 81/5. The best Kempton bowler was Ulrich Krause, taking 2/5.
U/12C played Tsakane and won by 8 runs. Man of the match went to Hendrik Roelofse for excellent bowling figures of 4/11.
U/14 open played Duduza. Duduza won by 8 wickets.
The best batsman was Daniel de Villiers (28) and the best bowlers De Villiers (1/14) and Kevin Olivier (1/15).
