Off to the SAs in September

MEMBERS of Kempton Park Ju-Jitsu Club competed in the Eastern Gauteng trials on March 15 at Kempton Park Indoor Sport Centre. These members have been selected for the Eastern Gauteng team to take part in the SA national championships in September in Kempton Park. Front: Nadia Botha (3rd self-defence), Sensei Hanno Lock and Ivan Podmore. Back:  Lee Engelbrecht (1st self-defence, 3rd ground fighting and kumite), Frans Botha  (3rd self-defence), Marco de Carvallo (1st kumite, 2nd ground fighting, 3rd self-defence) and Shaun Urqard (1st self-defence, 2nd ground fighting, 3rd kumite). Absent: Marica Botha (2nd ground fighting, kumite, self-defence), Jacques Marais (3rd self-defence, kumite, ground fighting).
