Allen Park hosts blind bowlers

ALLEN Park Bowling Club hosted the Blind Bowlers Association at the Allen Park bowling greens on Sunday.

Partially and blind bowlers came from all over to compete.

A completely blind bowler has a director who stands in front of the bowler and gives directions in degrees. When the bowler aims in the right direction, the director says yes and the bowler bowls.

A partially blind bowler aims at a person’s shoe, about 5m away from him, which is pointed in the direction of the balls.
