SEVERAL players from Young Guns Cricket Academy made the Eastern Gauteng high performance training squads or the winter league teams in their respective age groups.
They are Nico Pieters, Barnard Pieters, Duncan Brown, Pierre de Villiers, Gareth Lonie, Connor Welman, Carmen Nagel, Kyle Barron, Claudio Jardim, Keanu Jardim, Luan Els, Josh Taylor, Bryce Parsons, Troy Kyle, WP Myburgh, Kade Justus, Mahin Dharmavir, Ricardo Meade, Dylan de Goode, Dylan de Bryne, Jordan Barnard, Ruan Oosthuizen, Stephanus Steyn, Aidan Justus, Adam Forbes, Mark Pierce and Vaughn Humphrey.
Under the guidance of ex-border player and coach Frans Bezuidenhout, Young Guns has become one of the leading academies on the East Rand. The academy has over 130 boys that attend the academy every week from all over Johannesburg and Pretoria.
Bezuidenhout said: “The reason why our coaching methods work are because of our coaching staff. All our coaches are CSA qualified or have played at provincial level.”
