Helicopter airobatics show at Barnstormers

Food and drinks will be available and all are welcome

THE Gauteng Championship for precision model helicopter aerobatics will be held at Barnstormers Model Flying Club on Sunday.

Precision Model Helicopter Aerobatic F3c is one of the flying disciplines of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale or FAI as it is known.

The World Air Sports Federation is the world governing body for air sports and aeronautics.

The pilots fly three rounds and are judged by five judges on the basis of the smoothness, precision and accuracy of the flight. Each round consists of two hovering and seven flying manoeuvres.

This event is part of the preparation to send three qualifying pilots to the Precision Model Helicopter World Championship in Austria next year.

Flying will start at 8.30am and will continue until about 1.30pm. Food and drinks will be available and all are welcome.
