Temple takes a double win

After his wins he extended his lead to 10 points in the championship

SCOTT Temple of Serengeti took all honours at round 5 of the super series SA National Formula 1600 championship at Phakisa Raceway on August 2.

After the first day of official pre-race practice, Temple posted the fastest times and at the official qualifying session on Saturday morning, he again posted an impressive time, awarding him pole position for both races.

He went on to win both races and achieved the overall win by a seven-second lead over the rest of the field.

Temple also achieved the fastest lap , giving him a full 22 points for round 5. He was leading the SA National Championship by four points going into round 5.

After his wins he extended his lead to 10 points in the championship. The next round of the super series will be at Zwartkops International Raceway on August 30.
