Swimmers win medals at small province gala

All of these swimmers swam personal bests, knocking seconds off their previously recorded times

VARIOUS Aquatic Academy swimmers won medals at the Small Province Inter Provincial representing Eastern Gauteng.

All of these swimmers swam personal bests, knocking seconds off their previously recorded times.

Caitlin Stott won two gold medals. She swam a strong individual 50m backstroke in a time of 39.18, and the backstroke leg in the medley relay in her age group.

Ashleigh Stock returned home with two silver. She swam an excellent 100m butterfly in a time of 1:24.00.

Murray Copeland, Storm Ryder and Jessica Burgess all won bronzes in their individual events. Murray raced home in a 2:57.88 in the 200 individual medley, improving his previous best time by seven seconds.

Savannah Sheerin and Savannah Mitchell were both selected for the team but were unable to compete due to prior commitments.
