Norkem hopes to win annual derby
Norkem High will meet Sir Pierre van Ryneveld on October 18.
THE annual Kemp Classico local derby between Norkem Park High and Sir Pierre van Ryneveld High will be hosted by Norkem on October 18.
The programme will be football focused with both schools competing in the U/14, U/15 and U/17 age groups.
The main event will be the first teams which will complete the day. Last year Sir Pierre won the trophy on a penalty shoot out and the Green Machine is looking to bring it back home.
The football games will start at 8.30am and both schools would like to see all former pupils and staff at the event. Food and snacks will be on sale and a small entrance fee will be levied which will go towards sports development at Norkem.
