THE MML Scorpions women’s team from Kempton Park Hockey Club reigned supreme in this year’s Easterns league.
The season’s games started in April and the last game was played on Saturday.
After 16 games the MML Scorpions managed to win 12 out of the 16 games, with two losses and two draws.
A total of 60 goals were scored by the team and only seven against them. The team was led by coach Tinus van der Merwe and captain Clarinda Jansen van Vuuren, as well as vice-captain, Margaret de Beer.
The club’s other two women’s teams, the Stingers and Cougars, came fourth and eighth respectively.
The club’s annual general meeting will be held on November 3 at 6.30pm at the clubhouse.
