Swimmer wins seven medals at championships

Lize-Mari de Beer represented Mandeville Dolphins Swimming Club at the KZN Seagulls Winter Short Course Champs in Durban where she claimed one gold, four silver and 2 bronze medals. On the first day, Lize-Mari was flying the Mandeville Dolphins Swimming Club flag high when she finished first in the girls 14 and under 400m freestyle in 4:30.78 and third in the girls 13 and under 200m medley relay in 2:25.65. On the second day, Lize-Mari finished second in the girls 14 and under 200m freestyle in 2:09.23 and girls 13-14 200m individual medley in 2:30.02. On the third day, she was secondd in the girls 14 and under 200m backstroke in 2:24.26 and third in the girls 13-14 100m freestyle in 1:00.33. On the fourth day, Lize-Mari finished off her gala with a second place in the girls 15 and under 200m freestyle relay in 1:52.91.
