Gauteng U/12 golf team second in George

They were ten shots behind the winners

The Gauteng U/12 golf team came second at the SCGA U/12 provincial team event in George.

Big Five Golf Team, based at Serengeti and State Mines Golf clubs, entered a team of six strong Gauteng players for the event.

After three days of playing some of the most beautiful golf courses in South Africa (George and Fancourt), the Gauteng team ended up second, 10 shots behind the Southern Cape invitational team.

The Free State team took third place, 40 shots behind Gauteng.

The Big Five players were Thomas Smallwood (Curro Serengeti), Dylan Miller, (Laerskool Concordia), Hunter Walker, (Curro Serengeti), Joshua Hirsh (Saint Dunstans), Michael Ferreira (Laerskool Constantia Park) and John Williams Hennings (Leeuwenhof Akademie).
