Plenty of medals for 3 swimmers

All three swimmers achieved personal best times

THREE swimmers from McGees Swim School in Glen Marais, who swim for ESP Kempton Aquatics, did well at the Sasol Winter Championships at the Penny Heynes pool in Sasolburg.

Bernelee Doster (10) won nine medals. She came second in the 50 breaststroke, third in the 200 freestyle, third in the100 backstroke, thirrd in the 50 freestyle, second in the 100 breaststroke, third in the200 breaststroke, third in the 200 IM, third in the 50 backstroke and second in the 100 fly.

Jodi Turner (17) only competed three of the days in the 17 and over age group and came third in the 200m freestyle, third in the 100 back, second in the 200 breaststroke, third in the 200 backstroke and third in the 800m freestyle.

Arno Joubert (10) placed second in the 100m backstroke, third in the 100 breaststroke and second in the 50 backstroke.

All three swimmers achieved personal best times, and Bernelee and Jodi both achieved level 2 times.

This is Arno’s first season swimming competitively and Bernelee’s second.
