A 15-year-old Kempton Park teenager is making name for himself on his 250 Kawasaki.
With one race still to go, Dorren Loureiro has already clinched this year’s 250 championship.
Dorren started racing in 2010 when he entered the Honda NSF 100 series. In this series he learnt all the skills needed to become a top racer.
Now, at the age of 15, he was able to enter the 250 class.
There are eight races during the year on four different race tracks, including Kyalami. The championship is already his with two races still to go before the end of the season.
Next year Dorren will enter the European Junior Cup where some of the fastest riders worldwide will compete. He will be on a Honda 650 for the duration of the eight races across Europe in 2015.
In his first year overseas he hopes to get a top 10 finish. In the second year Dorren will definitely look at the championship.
He will use the first year to familiarise himself with the race tracks.
