Golfers tee off for charity

Proceeds of the day will go towards uniforms and transport for learners at the school

GOLFERS braced the wind and drizzle on Friday as they teed off at Kempton Park Golf Club for Kempton Panorama School’s annual golf day.

The principal of the school, Dimitri Theron, said funds raised would go towards uniforms and transport for learners at the school.

Kempton Panorama School is a special school which accommodates learners with special educational needs (LSEN).

The learners receive education (academic and vocational) to ensure future sustainability within the community.

The school has access to the services of three counsellors, a psychologist, two occupational therapists, a social worker and speech therapist.

This annual event will take place again on November 20, 2015.  Companies or individuals interested in supporting the cause in 2015 may contact Lisa van den Berg on: 011 976 2091.
