Juniors cricketers end first half on a high note
Neil Hunter was man of the match in the U/12A1 match as he scored his maiden club 50

KEMPTON Park Junior Cricket Club played the last games of the first half of the season at the weekend.
U/8A beat Boksburg. Kempton batted first and scored 136/2 in their 25 overs.
Boksburg were restricted to 99/5.
Stian Smith (18*, man of the match) and Floors Mynhardt (35*) scored well with the bat. A great all round team effort secured the win.
U/8B1 beat Wattville by 15 runs on Saturday.
U/8B2 beat Tembisa by 30 runs. Kempton batted first and scored 82 runs with Tembisa bowled out for 52 runs.
Kaeden Naidu took 3/2 with the ball and Armand Rood scored 7*.
U/10 super league faced Boksburg in an away game. Boksburg made 145/3 and kept Kempton down to 80/9. Guys scoring with the bat were Tiaan Hayward (19, man of the match) and Sarel Erasmus (12). Erasmus and Kaiyuran Pillay each took a wicket.
U/10A beat United. Dihan du Toit made 43 and Ian Jonker 15 in Kempton’s total of 120. United were dismissed for a mere 22 runs.
The best bowlers were Bjorn Slabbert (4 overs with 0/3, Evan Olivier (3 overs with 3/4), Jordan Southey (3 overs 1/4), Wayne Francis (3 overs 0/1), Matt Mendoza (3 overs 1/7), Zack Smith (3 overs 1/3) and Reinhard Schaffner (1 over 1/0).
U/10B2 beat Tembisa by 8 runs.
U/12 super league beat Boksbug by 26 runs. Kempton scored 133/4 with Guillaume van Niekerk making 41, Dylan Nicholas 34, Teryn Marais 21* and Kian van Heerden 19*. Boksburg could only manage 107/3 with Jared Sandler taking 1/9 and Shaun Heuer 1/16. Man of the Match was shared between Van Niekerk and Van Heerden.
U/12A1 beat Springs Old Boys by 1 run. Neil Hunter was man of the match as he scored his maiden club 50.
U/12B1 won by default against Vosloorus. Vosloorus arrived late with only eight players.
U/12B2 beat Tembisa by 13 runs. Man of the match was Jason Penny for his 31 runs.
U/14 super league won a nail biter against Daveyton. The visitors scored 155/2 and Kempton scored the last two runs off the last ball to win by one wicket. Top batsmen were Keanu Jardim with 42 and Neo Felane with 37. Felane took 2/26 and Duane Bloem 2/36.
