Pomona company to host fun walk/run for charity
The event aims to raise awareness of the importance of health and taking care of your heart
POMONA company, DCB Logistics, will host a fun walk/run to raise awareness of the importance of health and taking care of your heart.
The initiative is organised by the youth league group of the company and the money raised will be donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
The event will be held on February 21 and will include a 5km fun walk/run for employees of the company as well as any members of the public who would like to participate.
The cost is R20 for members of the public and the event will start at 10am.
Entry forms can be accessed on the DCB Logistics Facebook page or collected from the company’s premises. Alternatively, people can call or send an email to Nompumelelo Nkabinde on 011-230-2052 or nompu@dcb.co.za with the subject line, “Entry form for fun walk/run”.
A t-shirt and water bottle can also be bought for R30 but sales are limited to availability, so late entries may not be able to get a t-shirt and water bottle.
Water and bananas will be supplied for free and all competing athletes will receive a medal at the finish line.
Colour powder will be used to make the event colourful and fun.
DCB Logistics is situated at 15 Sim Road, Pomona, Kempton Park.
