AN U/8 player at Kempton Park Junior Cricket Club picked up six wickets with two hat-tricks in a match played on Friday evening.

The Kempton U/8B1 and B2 sides faced each other in an exciting build up.

U/8B1, batting first, scored 70 all out, with Kaeden Naidu picking up a double hat-trick and Nicholas Moravec and Matthew Caldwell taking two wickets each.

The U/8B2 side knocked off the runs in the 15th over, with the pick of the batsmen Ethan Simpson (16*) and Dino Binks (6*).

Kempton U/8B2 won by 8 wickets.

In another interclub derby the U/10B1 side beat the B2 team by 22 runs. Man of the match went to Matthew Brandjes (32* and 2/6).

U/12A1 beat Avion by 61 runs.

U/12A2 lost to Actonville by 10 runs. Man of the match went to Cameron Jones with 64 runs.

U/12B1 beat Wattville by 182 runs. Kempton batted first and totalled 284/7 in their 25 overs.

The best bowler was Dwyne Green taking 2/7. Best batsman and man of the match went to Mitchell Botes with 115 runs.

U/14A1 beat Tsakane by 71 runs. Bjorn Barnard top scored with 45. Cameron Searle took a brilliant catch and 3/6 to earn the man of the match.
