Limpopo Poison defeats Mafia Boys

Sunday, was a good day for the Limpopo Poison Football Club (LPFC), after winning the Winnie Mandela Zone 10 Top 8 Soccer Tournament at the Sekhukhune Sports Grounds.

The team claimed a deserved 2-0 victory against the Mafia Boys.

In the first half, both teams tried their luck at scoring but their attempts were fruitless.

At the end of the first half, the score was still 0-0.

Limpopo Poison opened the score board through well-placed striker, Xoli Shibambu, after he received a well-timed pass from Khakha Maluleke in the 28th minute of the second half.

Arthur Maluleke, of Limpopo Poison, received a yellow card for foul play and misconduct.

The Limpopo Poison FC’s reliable striker, Shibambu, scored the second goal and sealed victory for his team.

Limpopo Poison players kept control of the game after the second goal, and limited the number of chances for the opposition to fight for an equaliser.

Limpopo Poison FC’s coach, Giat Baloyi, was excited and said the team maintained its game plan. He was impressed with the attitude of the players.

“We look forward to retaining our title during the upcoming tournaments,” he said.
