TC United walloped White Birds 2-1
TC United FC's U/17 team defeated the White Birds FC's U/17 team in an entertaining encounter at the Winnie Mandela Zone 11 Sports Ground.
The friendly match was played on Sunday and the final score was 2-1.
From the first whistle, the White Birds strikers were determined to prove themselves but TC United’s defence was hard to break.
The first half ended with both teams failing to score.
It was a quick start to the second half for TC United, when defender Emmanuel Manuse scored from a free kick 15 minutes into the second half.
After being surprised early on, White Birds players pushed back and manage to score an equaliser through the striker, David Mahlangu.
The game ended with the score level at 1-1, so the referee decided on an extra 10 minutes of game-time
TC United players took advantaged of the extra time and scored a second goal through Rodney Mello, who received a well-timed pass from Emmanuel Manuse.
The final score was 2-1, in favour of TC United.
