Kempton’s first rugby team wins against Benoni

KEMPTON Park Rugby Club’s first team won their game against Benoni 40-13 on Saturday afternoon at Barnard Stadium.

Andre Smith scored one try, a drop goal, two penalties and three conversions. Zach van Loggerenberg, Gerson Helder, Jaco Kritzinger and Ryno Greyling also scored a try each.

The U/21s won their match against Benoni 30-17 and the second team drew theirs 17-17.

For the U/21s, Walter Pretorius scored two tries, two penalties and two conversions, while Janu du Toit, Sheldon Turner, Jimmy Mpailane and Jason Robberts all scored a try each.

Hannes Venter of the second team scored a try and a conversion, and Dudley Stemmet and Francois van Deventer each scored a try.
