Vhazwala wins 4-1
Vhazwala FC leaves Mayibuye FC choked in the dust when they locked horns in a weekend challenge.
It was a tough game between the Mayibuye Classic and Vhazwala football clubs, in a match that took place at the Mayibuye Sports Grounds on May 24.
The final score was 4-1 in favour of Vhazwala.
In the first half, Mayibuye Classic tried hard not to concede any goals, but Edoson Ndou broke through the defence when he pushed through Mayibuye Classic’s defence and scored the only goal of the first half.
According to the coach, Mayibuye Classic stood no chance against Vhazwala.
“My boys were fit for this game. The only improvement I want to see now is in the wings because that is where we are lacking,” said Bhundu, the coach for Vhazwala.
Mayibuye Classic supporters were eager to see changes in the team but the man in control, coach Fanie Kgotleng, was on his toes hoping for an equaliser.
In the second half, Vhazwala wasn’t willing to be pushed back as they displayed much determination in implementing their coach’s strategy of fetching and carrying.
Mayibuye’s men fought and Buccaneer managed to get one goal.
Mlungisi secured the second goal with Tsepo Manaka registering the third.
Vhazwala’s coach needed to strengthen his wing when he substituted Lifa with Mafiya to balance the front line.
Vhazwala collected the balls from Mayibuye Classic’s strikers and delivered more goals into the back of their opponents’ net.
