Try Again FC conquers over Mother City FC
A Germiston team played and beat the Tembisa team on the weekend.
Try Again FC beat Mother City FC 1-0 in Tembisa on September 8.
Both teams dared the drizzling weather to compete for the prize money.
Try Again FC’s coach, Loyiso Jojo, said the tournament was not an easy one because it was the first time the Germiston team had played in Tembisa.
Twenty minutes into the first half Njabulo “Scorpion” Nsele scored a leading goal for Try Again FC.
Coach Jojo said he saw no need to substitute because the players on the pitch were in good form.
By the end of the first half the score was 1-0 in favour of Try Again FC.
When the referee blew the whistle at the beginning of the second half Mother City FC came back strongly, fighting for an equalising goal.
“My players were strong in all their positions and the opposition could not break our defence.
“My wing was really fast and we resolved to do strong counter attacks while striving for a second goal,” said coach Jojo.
He said there was no need for a subsitute in the second half as the players worked well together as team.
Mother City FC’s endeavour to score an equalising goal prove to be futile as Try Again FC didn’t give in to their attacks.
“We were only affected by the cold weather and the rain but none the less we had a beautiful game and we are looking forward to coming back to Tembisa and playing here again,” said Jojo.
