Payne will defend his world title at Con Amore Festival

He will have his first title defence in Kempton Park on June 1 at the Con Amore Festival.

Kempton Park resident and Honour Wrestling Association (HWA) wrestler, Hector Payne, has finally succeeded in capturing the HWA World Championship.

Payne won the HWA World Championship in a triple-threat match against Nightmare and Steve Eden at the HOO HOO Festival on May 4.

This was a rematch after Nightmare’s victory due to interference in Bloemfontein on May 3.

Payne is now a two-time HWA World Champion.

It was also announced he will have his first title defence in Kempton Park on June 1 at the Con Amore Festival hosted by Con Amore School and Intervention Centre in Esther Park.

HWA management had not released the name of Payne’s opponent yet.

Tickets are available from Con Amore School and Intervention Centre.
