Former Tembisa soccer player aims to become top commentator

Commentator Vincent Thapelo Moholola is aiming to work for big sport broadcasters.

A former Tembisa player aspires to be one of the best soccer commentators in the country. His aspiration does not end there. He also wishes to work for big broadcasters such as Supersport Television Channel and the SABC

Vincent Thapelo Moholola is a familiar voice to many Tembisa soccer lovers who attend big local tournaments, including the local Philly’s Games.

Vincent said he was a soccer player before switching to soccer commentating, adding that he loves what he does even more.

“I started playing soccer for Power FC, but later I noticed I love commentating more,” said Moholola.

He said at 14 he commentated in Soweto at the Soccer Ackermans tournament.

“That is where people recognised that I am good at this.

“After that, I commentated in the 2007 De Beers Soccer tourney.

“In 2008 I commentated in the Black Star Easter Games,” Moholola reminisced.

His dream now is to see himself working for the SABC TV as a radio sports commentator.

“I love this job and it is mainly because I grew up doing it.

“It is also my dream to compete with the best at DSTV,” said Moholola.

Moholola has been entertaining spectators with his ever funny comments during games for over 12 years.

He thanked his family for the support they give him in everything he does in sport.

Presently he is a committee member of the Mosehla Easter Games which his family supports.
