Kempton’s karateka bags two silvers

The Dojo Kempton Park was well represented at the annual regional championships held in Nelspruit in April.

The dojo’s brown belt karateka Dylan Kolm (12) received two silver medals for kata and kumite respectively at the championships.

Clubs represented at the tournament include Benoni, Boksburg, Nelspruit, Skukuza, White River and Witbank which translated to 122 competitors.

“These championships are where all our dojos from the central region come together and compete for the regional and club trophy and Kolm did absolutely well,” said sensei Janien Potgieter, senior instructor at The Dojo Kempton Park.
