Ajax player visits local sports academy
Sports Plus Academy, which caters for boys and girls aged nine to 15 years, is not even a year old.
Raymond Monama, a midfielder from Ajax Cape Town, visited Sports Plus Academy in Birch Acres on May 26 when the soccer academy played Highlands Football Club, winning 6-1.
Sports Plus Academy, which caters for boys and girls aged nine to 15 years, is not even a year old. It was founded in July 2018 and is part of the Easterns League (ELFA).
There are 40 members competing in three divisions, namely u-11, u-13 and u-15.
Had it not been for several companies doing weekly donations and sponsorships, the academy would not have been able to keep its teams going.
They would like to thank Roots Butchery Birch Acres Mall (water and Powerade at games), Spar Birch Acres Mall (fruit on match days), Engen Norkem Park, St George’s Beauty Salon and Spar Norkem Park (all providing training equipment).
