Tembisa golfers ready to face opponents in Kempton Park
Tembisa is unbeaten at Kempton Park so far, so this must give them an upper hand over Bokone Bophirima.
An exciting and challenging interclub golf competition is looming this month.
This will be a return match hosted by Tembisa Golf Club at Kempton Park Golf Club. Bokone Bophirima, who hails from Merafong Municipality in the North West, will make a second trip to Kempton Park Country Club after losing to Tembisa during their first outing.
However, when Tembisa went on a trip down there, the eastern boys gave Tembisa a huge hiding and Tembisa hopes to turn things around during this return match.
Tembisa have at least beaten Bokone Bophirima twice and they have also won two out of the four inter-events
Practice sessions of Tembisa Golf Club have started in earnest this past Sunday as all golfers participated in a match-play format. There were a few setbacks when the likes of Mporo Mathiyase and Ayanda Jaco failed to win their games.
However, there were also a few positives as a number of players, such as Collin Sibeko, Sam Bhiya and George Mokela, won their games convincingly.
The loss of current champion Ayanda Jaco and the player Tembisa is banking on to do the business for them is concerning and will surely give the club some headaches when selecting the final team.
They hope that Jaco will lift himself as there are still some more practice games to come.
Tembisa will hopefully welcome the return of Aubrey Molefe, who lost his mother and was busy with her funeral the past weekend. Molefe is one of the key players who has never lost a single match and hopefully he will be available by the time the interclub takes place.
Nzima Tsotetsi, who was one of the executive members who travelled to Rustenburg to support Molefe at the funeral, said Molefe was in a good space even though he lost his mother. Tsotetsi is confident Molefe will return in time to help Tembisa do well.
Tembisa is unbeaten at Kempton Park so far, as all have come and failed, including clubs like Daveyton and Alexandra, so this must give Tembisa an upper hand over Bokone Bophirima.
