Tembisa fan wins R100 000 as first Woza Nazo Shootout winner
The next Woza Nazo match will be at the Nelson Mandela Stadium on August 14.
As the 2019/20 Absa Premiership got underway with some great action and fantastic goals, passionate soccer fan Augustine Raphasha walked away with R100 000 from the first Woza Nazo match at Makhulong Stadium on August 4.
Raphasha, an ardent Orlando Pirates fan, became an instant winner as he became the first Woza Nazo Shootout winner in the consumer and fan competition that will set the grandstands alight at the stadiums this season.
āIām extremely delighted about this prize. It was a nice surprise to see myself among the finalists for the Woza Nazo Shootout. These winnings will go a long way in helping my parents complete some of their projects at home,ā said the resident from Tembisa.
The Woza Nazo Shootout is the new and exciting consumer and fan competition introduced by Absa to replace the Kick for a Million competition, which took place over the past two Absa Premiership seasons.
On match day, five Absa customers will be brought to the pitch at half-time to kick against a legendary Absa Premiership goalkeeper in a sudden death competition until there is only one winner.
The next Woza Nazo match will be at the Nelson Mandela Stadium on August 14 when Chippa United hosts Mamelodi Sundowns and the second Woza Nazo Shootout winner will be revealed on the night.
