Four u-12 Kempton Badgers will tour the UK later this year

For the first time ever selectors were present to select a national u-12 team

Six members of the u-12 Kempton Honey Badgers team have been selected for the national team tour of the UK at the end of the year.

They are Benjamin Rochecouste (Laerskool Van Riebeeck Park), Leo van Wyk (Laerskool Kruinsig), Levino Domingo (Laerskool Birchleigh), Cowen Willemse (Laerskool Sentraal), Quintin Kirstein (Laerskool Impala) and Armand Potgieter (Laerskool Sentraal).

During the July holidays the boys were hard at practice with coach Rikus Bezuidenhout to prepare for their participation in the Prestige Jeugsport Winter Rhino Week in Vereeniging, where they got a third place. Prestige Jeugsport is affiliated to the Valke and South African Rugby Associati33 KE SPORT BADGERS SCon.

For the first time, the selectors selected a national u-12 team. The u-17 Scotland tours have been running for the past five years and now an u-12 team will also go overseas.

The team will be capped in South Africa’s green and gold for the tour of Scotland, Wales and England from November 25 to December 4.
