Annual cycle races are back at Carnival City
The main purpose of the event is to raise money for local charities, particularly in support of Rotary projects.

Germiston Rotary and Germiston Wheelers Cycle Club will again host their annual cycle, mountain bike and trail run events at Carnival City on October 26 and 27.
There is an event and distance to cater for everybody’s needs, ranging from a 60km and 34km mountain bike race, as well as a 6-12km mountain bike event for children. This will take place on the Saturday at 7am.
On the Sunday, the road cycle races will start at 6am. Distances of 110km and 58km on a relatively flat course means it is possible to ride the full distance without walking.
At 7am, the third edition of the trail run, with distances of 5km, 10km and 21km, will kick off. The 5km event is also pet-friendly, so your furry friends are welcome too.
Online entries are open at https://germistonclassic.co.za/enter-now/ More information about the event can be accessed from the same page by clicking on the More Information links.
The main purpose of the event is to raise money for local charities, particularly in support of Rotary projects, The Rotary Foundation and the further development of amateur cycling in South Africa.
Through this event the organisers have been able to make significant donations to many needy charities, particularly in Ekurhuleni.
