Kickboxers bring home medals
These warriors participated in three big competitions over the past two months
Four students from Xtreme Kickboxing Kempton Park represented South Africa at an international world championship full contact martial arts tournament in Durban in October.
All of them participated in semi and light contact.
Michaela Ann Green won two golds for girls u-28kg, Ulandi Exner two golds, Janika Theron two silvers or girls above 29kg and Shihan Eddie Theron two golds.
These warriors participated in three big competitions over the past two months, namely the Great North 2, one of the three biggest tournaments for kickboxers, a kickboxing development tournament in Benoni as well as a full contact development tournament in Kempton Park.
Janika Theron won three gold medals at the Great North 2 (semi, light and kick light), two gold at development kickboxing (semi and light contact).
At the Great North 2 Michaela Ann won gold for kick light, silver for semi contact and bronze for light contact. At the development tournament she got gold for semi and light contact, and at the full contact development tournament achieved two gold medals for light and semi contact.
Theron won gold medals for semi and light at the full contact development tournament, while Exner won gold for semi and light contact at the full contact development tournament.
