The day will highlight the handicaps and challenges disabled people face in the game of bowls.

Atlas Bowling Club will host a blind and disabled bowls family fun day on December 1 from 8.30am.

The day will highlight the handicaps and challenges disabled people face in the game of bowls.

Bowlers will play with blockouts to see through the eyes of a partially sighted person. They will also bowl from a chair to experience bowling from a wheelchair.

A pairs format will be played and the cost is R80 a person, including a light lunch.

There will also be raffles and spot prizes, cash bar (no card machine), market and food stalls for the family.

Anyone is welcome to try out the bowls, whether you are a bowler or not.

For the bowls event contact George on 079 502 8935 and for the stalls Sharlene on 072 010 1679.
