Two centuries guide Kempton Park premier side to 34-run victory

Two centuries ensured the Kempton Park Cricket Club premier side a 34-run victory over CBC at the weekend.

CBC could only make 257/9 with Kofi Apea-Adu taking 4/58 in 10 overs and Sean Aldridge 2/40 in 10 overs.

The premier reserve team lost to CBC Old Boys by one wicket.

Kempton were 175 all out after 48.5 overs. CBC scored 176/9 in 39.5 overs.

Dean Visser took 3/37 in 10 overs and Lee Coetzee 3/9 in four overs.

Wesley Coulentianos made 116 for the KPCC premier side.

The executive side had no problems beating Thokoza by 471 runs. Batting first, Kempton went all out, scoring 506 all out in 40 overs.

Hassan Ali was the star batsman with 260. Waqas Waheed made 78.

Thokoza was never in the match, being bowled out for 35 in 11 overs. Dilawar Sabar took a brilliant 8/10 in six overs and Bilawal Ilyas 1/10 in two overs.

The director’s team beat Benoni by 111 runs, with Milen Gogev scoring 68, Adrian Griesel 58, Damian Watkins 54* and Cyril Harbor 34*.

Farai Moyo took 3/20, Damian Watkins 3/31 and Connor Welman 3/41.

The chairman’s team was beaten by Avion by four wickets. Batting first, Kempton scored 75/10, with Hosen Delowae getting 16 and Michael Mostert 14.

Avion easily chased down the total with Morné van Eeden taking 4/19 and Michael Pullinger 1/13.

The Saturday first league team beat CBC by 34 runs. Kempton made 148/4 and CBC 114/6.

Johan Fourie scored 43 and took 1/13. Francois Stoman made 41* and took 3/15.

Nico de Klerk bowled 2/26.
