G-String are Phillys Games 2019 champions

'We had a great tournament and wonderful support from the community'

G-String celebrated their Phillys Games off-season victory when they defeated Wamtseba Motho 2-1 at Makhulong Stadium on December 30.

Cameron Mathebula, Phillys Games marketing and operations manager, said the management would like to thank their sponsors for making the tournament possible.

“They are empowering the people of Tembisa and for that we are truly grateful. We hope that our partnership has been fruitful as we hope to see them again in 2020.

“We had a great tournament and wonderful support from the community. Congratulations to the winners. The first prize of R200 000 went to G-String. The second and third placed teams were each rewarded R30 000.
