Good weekend for KPCC’s senior teams
The junior league will start this coming weekend.
Kempton Park Cricket Club’s senior sides had a good weekend, winning all their matches.
The premier side beat Springs Old Boys (SOB) by seven wickets.
SOB, batting first, was bowled out for 123, with Sarel Myburgh taking 3/21 and Sean Aldridge 3/25. Kempton chased down the score in 25 overs with Maxwell Meyer (45) and Marius Lubbe (35*) top scoring.
The premier reserve team beat Springs Old Boys by nine wickets. SOB was bowled out for 43 in 22.5 overs. Dean Visser took 3/16 runs and Gideon Visagie 3/2.
Kempton scored 47/1 in eight overs. Brett Luck made 28*.
The directors side won against Tsakane by 95 runs. Kempton batted first and scored 316 with top scores Adrian Griesel (73) and Milen Gogev (62).
Tsakane were bowled out for 221.
Griesel took 3/30, Wynand Steyn 2/15 and Cyril Harbor 1/14.
The executive side was too strong for Vosloorus, beating them by 58 runs. The match was reduced to 35 overs due to a wet pitch.
Kempton, batting first, were bowled out for 221 with Asif Inayat making 35 and Dilawar Sabbar 31.
Vosloorus scored 163/9. Fahad Raza took 3/14 and Imran Cheema 2/18.
The junior league will start this coming weekend.
