YouthMAIA presents the Youth Music Art and Influence Awards

South Africa is gifted with talented young people who need to be groomed to establish a reliable future. This is why YouthMAIA has created an awards programme to recognise young people with talent.
YouthMAIA Youth Music Art and Influence Awards is proud to provide the first-of-its-kind awards ceremony to the youth of South Africa, one that provides more than just a chance to win, but to also give them the knowledge that will help prepare their future.
Entries are open from August 10 to November 5.
Each category-winning prize is R15 000, plus R5 000 worth of YouthMAIA-branded goodies.
With the nominations process beginning, the programme will run for four months, October, November, December and January.
The main awards ceremony will take place on February 26, 2022, subject to lockdown laws.
As soon as an individual signs up to be nominated for a category, they immediately have access to:
• Compulsory counselling sessions offered to the parents too
• Personal development programme offered by accredited trainers
• Accredited new venture creation course to equip them as a brand
• A course of the laws of the entertainment industry offered by one of its partners in the law firm
According to one of the organisers, Devine Sibiya, the awards show leaders and other policymakers value young people’s contributions to development.
“The awards also serve to motivate other young people to participate in community service. The awards build confidence, help young people to enjoy cultural activities and prepare them for further education or employment,” said Sibiya.
