Flavours of India returns to Gold Reef City

The fair can accommodate thousands of visitors a day with over 45 stalls to visit

THE Flavours of India, the largest shopping festival in the south of Jozi, is returning to Gold Reef City from Thursday, 1 October to Sunday, 11 October 2015.

Visitors can look forward to authentic Indian cuisine, fashion, jewellery, accessories, homeware and with daily live entertainment, this celebration of culture is a great place to bring the whole family.

Flavours of India is an explosion of colour, scent and touch, where visitors are enchanted by an eastern inspired extravaganza of Indian song and dance, and local Indian comedy.

The fair can accommodate thousands of visitors a day with over 45 stalls to visit and as no-one can resist a little spice, famous Indian fare will be available, from the classic Durban Bunny Chow to spicy pineapples, fried mealies, burgers and hot dogs. Traditional Indian curries and spicy nibbles are also set to tantalise the taste buds.

On Saturdays, 3 and 10 October, Lenz FM will host a Bhangra Bash where Lenz FM listeners will get to meet their favourite presenters. The Bhangra will start at 8pm.

Says Lionel Chetty, Gold Reef City Promotions and Events Manager, “Having hosted the event for the past three years, Gold Reef City is now The Home of Flavours Of India. The event is always a huge success and we encourage visitors to experience the authentic Indian cultural delights on offer.”

Tickets cost R10 a person and are available from www.goldreefcity.co.za or at the entrance.
