Outdoor art exhibition in Bredell

AN art exhibition with nearly 50 artists exhibiting will take place in Bredell on October 10.

This outdoor exhibition will include various forms of art such as glass blowing, sculpture, woodwork, knives, wrought iron, stained glass, bamboo garden accessories and paintings in all mediums.

A choice of beautiful paintings in oil, water colour, acrylic and charcoal from renowned artists on the East Rand is sure to draw a few gasps from the viewers.

Kevin Till, the Koi doctor, will be available with his Koi fish to advise on how to take care of your Koi.

Garden experts, Danny Williams and Jacques Slabbert, will share their gardening experience and insights and inform gardeners on how to construct a Koi pond that will not leak.

Winners of the children’s art competition in two categories will be announced at noon. The theme was “A wonderful life”. The first, second and third prizes of R1 000, R500 and R250 apply to each category (ages eight to 12 and 13 to 18).

Savouries and refreshments will be served to those who attend, free of charge. Entry is also free. The exhibition will take place at 162 3rd Avenue, Bredell (next to the egg farm).
