The Rand Show gets even bigger in 2016

The show is one of the biggest consumer exhibition and entertainment events in the Southern Hemisphere

With 11 exhibitor categories and a full line-up of family and youth-focused entertainment, the 2016 Rand Show is expected to be a bumper attraction.

Marketed as ‘Joburg’s Biggest Day Out,’ this year’s event, which runs from March 25 to April 3, promises to live up to its claim of ‘big opportunities’ and ‘big numbers,’ says Craig Newman, Chairman of Dogan Exhibitions and Events, owners of the Rand Show.

The 11 exhibitor categories will be: Fashion & Accessories, Good Food, Garden & Outdoor, Health & Beauty, Home Living, Kids Kingdom, the Man Cave, Outdoor Adventure, Pets & Animals, SA Showcase and Science & Tech. There will also be a must-do ‘Big Sale’.

The Rand Show has always been a great opportunity for brands, corporates and organisations to promote themselves to a large, affluent sector of consumers, says Newman. ‘We predict that this year will be a very successful one for our exhibitors. It’s going to be big!’

The show is one of the biggest consumer exhibition and entertainment events in the Southern Hemisphere. It is held at Nasrec Expo Centre.

The South African National Defence Force will be back with a big bang in 2016 with crowd-pleasers, including capability displays on the Main Arena, over 10 000 square metres of outdoor exhibits and indoor displays.

There will also be scheduled daily children’s shows, as well as the interactive Food Theatre with the participation of well-known chefs, plus sports and outdoor activity demonstrations. The Pet & Animal playground promises to be as engaging as ever.
