Lejwe takes to the stage in Botswana

The group decided to dedicate its second performance for 2016 to the people of Botswana.

The Lejwe La Motheo Gospel Choir performed at a fundraising dinner organised by the ST John Faith Mission Church.

The Tembisa-based choir undertook the trip to Botswana on Friday last week.

The group decided to dedicate its second performance for 2016 to the people of Botswana.

Tebogo Quest Chauke, the composer and music director, said they were excited to be part of the fundraising dinner, as fans have been longing for their music.

There are plans to organise a show in Botswana.

“We have been blessed over the years to have reached an audience outside of South Africa. We will be visiting other countries soon, starting with Lesotho in September,” said Chauke.

Lejwe La Motheo has just recorded another 15-track CD, titled “Bua Lenna Morena”. The release date will be announced as soon as the group returns from Botswana.
