‘The Little Prince’ will enthrall young and old

This delightful adaptation of the classic tale leaves us with a new understanding of how to laugh, cry and love again

National Children’s Theatre (NCT) is thrilled to present “The Little Prince” based on the story by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

This heartwarming tale of love and friendship will run at NCT until April 17.

Adapted and directed by Francois Theron, “The Little Prince” tells the story of an aviator who lands in the Sahara Desert. He is befriended by a Little Prince who has fallen to Earth from a miniscule asteroid, B612.

Watch as the Little Prince recounts stories of his home and his love for the sultry singing rose in the garden. She makes him so miserable that he leaves on intergalactic travels and meets with fascinating characters, each a ruler of his planets who each live alone and are consumed by their occupations.

Finally he lands on earth where he meets other fascinating characters, including a dangerous snake and a wise fox, all with different ways of looking at life.

This delightful adaptation of the classic tale leaves us with a new understanding of how to laugh, cry and love again, and how to value friendship.

NCT is situated at 3 Junction Avenue, Parktown.

Tickets start at R90. To book, call Claudy or Zukiswa on 011-484-584/5 or email bookings@nctt.org.za.

There is ample free, safe parking available within the grounds.
