Celebrate SA’s sporting greats at the SA Sport Hall of Fame at Carnival

An entrance fee of R30 will apply to all guests over 12 years old

The Samsung South African Sport Hall of Fame comes to Carnival City this weekend.

Sports enthusiasts are encouraged to celebrate the country’s rich sporting history at the expo which will be housed for a limited time at Carnival City’s Mardi Gras Theatre from April 9 to 24.

Among the attractions will be the opportunity for visitors to test their skills with virtual simulators for golf, rugby and soccer.

Visitors will also get to meet and greet some of South Africa’s sporting greats from today and yesteryear, as well as have an exclusive look at what they can expect from the future permanent home of the South African Sport Hall of Fame at Sun City’s Entertainment Centre, which is currently being built.

Live sporting events will be broadcast on a big screen, including Super Rugby matches with celebrity guests such as Danie Gerber, Chester Williams, Derick Hougaard and more on April 9, 17 and 23.

The roaming Samsung South African Sport Hall of Fame is brought to Carnival City by Samsung and Sun International. The official partners of the South African Sport Hall of Fame will also be showcasing their latest products, including Samsung and Subaru. Food, drinks, sports clothing and memorabilia will be available for purchase from various exhibitors.

The expo will be open from 11am to 8pm Sundays to Thursdays, and 10am to 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. An entrance fee of R30 will apply to all guests over 12 years old.
