Traditional and gospel music celebrated
The event will start at 7:30pm until 11pm at the Theatre of Marcellus

IN celebrating and sustaining Africa’s indigenous traditional gospel music, the City of Ekurhuleni will reward excellence in this genre through the Mmino wa Clap n Tap Music Awards on Saturday, June 18 at Emperors Palace.
A total of 19 categories will see various choirs from across the country being recognised for their dedication to perfecting their craft.
The glitzy occasion is set to be a night of entertainment with well-known traditional gospel groups such as last years’ winners Letjwe La Motheo Gospel Choir from Tembisa sharing the stage with Majalefa A Morena, Mangeloi A Kgotso Gospel Choir and Balopolloa Ba Morena all the way from Lesotho.
Nominees for this year’s awards include clap ‘n’ tap gospel choirs, choristers, promoters, conductors, gospel TV programmes, print media, gospel radio shows, and supporters.
The event will start at 7:30pm until 11pm at the Theatre of Marcellus.
