The benefits of cans explained

The CAN DO! celebration Tour is coming to entertain Tembisa fun lovers.

The CAN DO! celebration Tour is coming to entertain Tembisa fun lovers.
The event organiser, Mr Brian Mokoena, said as part of their communications strategy for 2016, CAN DO! and Collect-a-Can will be educating consumers about the benefits of beverage cans as opposed to other forms of beverage packaging.
He said this will be done through a free music event organised at Moriting Park on November 26, starting at 2pm to 10pm.
“Through high profile and well loved artists like Chomee we aim to educate as many people as possible through these events and through the enjoyment of music,” said Mr Mokoena.
He said the events will be supported by Collect-a-Can which will ensure that cans are “green-orientated” and environmentally friendly with as little negative impact on the environment as possible and with a potentially long lasting positive impact.
“Collect-a-Can endeavours to use these events to boost local recycling projects and/or raise funds for local charities through the collection and ‘buying-back’ of the cans consumed for recycling”.
He said such events are held countrywide, in each and every province between February and December 2016, in an effort to spread a positive message and educate consumers across South Africa.
